A River Runs Through It

Clever title, huh?

This past weekend was so much fun. A really good time.
We went to our twin friends' spot on the River. I met W and friends late Friday night to have supper with everybody in Vicksburg. Then there was some quality time at the Casino. Then I woke up at this place. And I said, "Oh. There's the Mighty Mississippi River right there. Oh I'm in Louisiana?" Because then someone said, "We are in Louisiana, Liza." And that made sense because of the direction the River was flowing and what side I happened to be on (West side). I should be a captain of a ship because my sense of direction is so good. Plus, I'm a tad bit arrogant. Aren't skippers arrogant? And by the way, does skipper equal captain? Are not those two things the same? Research and get back to me.

America, America.

Little black dog.

Oh look it's a tractor. Never seen one of those before.

The place.

Oh hey.

Let's pose!

Men sitting around talking by the River.

A barge.

Then I was talked into taking a ride on the hardcore thing that is like a golf cart but it's not electric. I've heard a lot of different names like Mule and Razor. Maybe a few others I did not pay attention to. But anyway, the next few were taken from the speedy seat of whatever that outdoor vehicle is called.

More MS river.

The side of the thing and the road we were on.

I don't know what I was trying to get here: maybe the pretty weed flowers?

Knocked down.

Okay so this is an old part of the River. Yeah, this used to be the River.

Other side.

Old Man River.

I like these blurry ones taken from our ride.

Then we were out in some meadow where they hunt dear deer.

And then deep in the woods.

Then out to another pretty meadow again.

Then in more woods.

And oh a little pond.

Then I got a good shot of some Mississippi mud.

And then there was a lake that also used to be the River.

Ditto.

Back at the place. The girls.

The boys.

Out we went for a drive again. I got to see what I didn't see the night before.

And then back in for the night.

I couldn't decide which one was better. I like the puddles reflecting back. Louisiana Delta is neat too.

Talking by the River. WL walking over.

Girls on the deck.

Fireside.

CT holding up a barge.

El holding it like a tray.

Women. That's not a bag I'm wearing--it got cold and I had to borrow.

Some hottie checking me out on the other side of my fire.

El is looking at my camera? Wait I'm confused.
Jackson makes friends wherever he goes. But I don't know I think they're fighting. Those ears say it all.
Sitting around the next morning.

Sun came out.

One more barge shot.
One more river shot.

Thank you WL and WL (this guy's twin) for having us! Since they both read my blog, this is the equivalent of an e-thank you letter. Hey, it's 2012.

Oh and W the Friendly Fish swam in the River. He swam in the Mississippi River. With strong currents, mud, crocodiles and scariness. His explanation? He loves water! Fish.
Thankful for the good time and the good friends and the good life. And now I'm just going with the flow.

Easily,
Liza Jane
